Inline Intelligence

The Torres Inline Intelligence is a hardware appliance deployed in the network data-plane to gain visibility into a mobile radio access network (RAN). It integrates with the Torres Policy Control Server and the Rating and Charging Server via standard interfaces to device and network based policy control.

Key Features and Benefits

• Eliminates the need for expensive and complex GGSN/PDSN integrations for network aware policy control
• Extracts network and device information through Gb, IuPS and Gn network interfaces, feeding it to control plane elements (policy and rating)
• Provides user based metering information updates to the Rating Server
• Enables security and control features such as URL filtering for black/white listing
• Enforces lawful interception policies and enables traffic policing based on user and network parameters
• Performs URL and content caching to enhance user experience
