Policy Control should help operators generate new revenue streams through says Anand Uppili, CEO, Torres Networks

Anand Uppili, CEO of Torres Networks, explains that with policy control taking the front stage, the focus is now on control plane components like policy control server, admission control, rating & charging, and dashboard controls to create new services. Policy Control should help carriers focus on the essentials: generate more revenue and cutting down the costs. Over the next two years, Anand mentions that, policy control will move from conventional, fair-usage plans to more-revenue generating options, and get more tuned to service provider needs. He feels that the current levels of complexity must be reduced and policy must be delivered simply and easily.
