Career Opportunity
Torres Networks Inc. seeks an experienced Sales Engineer to help take our Policy Control and Management products to market in North America. The Sales Engineer will work closely with frontline sales to help identify and close opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Represent Torres to prospects and customers for all products, solutions and services
- Clearly articulate Torres features, benefits and value proposition to prospects and customers
- Manage the technical sales process
- Conduct field trials, demos etc. working closely with the engineering team as necessary.
- Be the technical go-to person supporting sales and marketing initiatives
- Take ownership of RFP/RFI responses, customer bids and proposals
- Assist with tradeshows, customer/internal training and respond to customer inquiries
- Interface with engineering and product management frequently to stay current on Torres product features, benefits and implementation
- Frequently travel to prospect and customer locations in North America as required
Skills / Background
- 5 - 10 years of sales and engineering experience at companies selling product to telcos
- Work experience in policy control (PCRF/PCEF) and DPI products highly desirable
- Technical and pre-sales work experience in the following areas:
- Wireless technologies: GSM, CDMA, WiMax, LTE,
- Products: Routers, firewalls, DSLAM, BRAS
- Integration with network elements like IMS, AAA, HSS, Rating etc.
- IP switching, routing and protocols
- VoIP: Protocols (SIP, H323 etc.) and products (SBC, soft-switch etc.)
- Able to travel in North America frequently as necessary
- Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Bachelors degree in telecommunications or computer engineering
