About Torres Networks
Torres Networks mission is to maintain integrity in all our business relationships. We are committed to protect personal information shared with us and we respect the individual's right to privacy. The privacy policy outlined here applies data collection and usage from the Torres website, tradeshows and direct mail.
This privacy policy is compliant with appropriate legal regulations and is in line with best practices in the industry. Torres reserves the right to change the privacy policy. We encourage users to visit this section periodically to be aware of the updates.

Information
Torres gathers information only as part of conducting our business with the objective of providing better services to the users and our customers. The information gathered can be:
Information specific to a person
Example - Name, Title, Phone Number, Address and Email. This information is typically obtained when the user fills out a form (contact form, subscription request etc.) or submits an application (for a job, for additional information etc.). The person giving this information is alerted about this process and can opt out of the process.
Information not specific to a person
Example - IP address, browser type / version and ISP (Internet Service Provider) information. This cannot be related to an individual and typically gathered automatically by machines as described in detail in the next section.
We do not gather any information race, religion, sexual orientation or political affiliation or associate person specific information to such data.
The information gathered:
- Helps us to understand user needs better
- Provide the information solicited by users quickly
- Improve the efficiency of our web site
- Track the effectiveness of our marketing programs
Process
The information is typically gathered through:
Forms
Online or printed. Examples are online contact forms, job application forms, feedback survey, information requests etc. This method usually gathers information specific to a person.
These forms help us to understand user requirements and provide information or products or services tuned to the requirements.
Cookies
These text files that are placed by the web server on to the user’s hard disc; they cannot be used to deliver virus or run programs; they are uniquely assigned and can be read only by the issuing web server. This does not gather any information specific to a person.
Cookies help to maintain the session between the web server and the user and saves time by avoiding retyping information – example shipping address, billing addresses etc.
Web Beacons
These are electronic images - sometimes called single-pixel gifs. This does not gather any information specific to a person.
These are used in web pages and promotional messages for counting and co-branding.
We identify the purposes for which the personal information is collected beforehand and will not use it for any other purpose.
Control
The user has control over the information gathering process.
Forms
The user is informed beforehand about the information gathered. The user has the choice not to divulge the information.
Cookies
The user computer can be set to either accept or decline cookies. However, if the user chooses to decline cookies the user experience on the Torres website could be poorer.
Newsletters
The user has the option to unsubscribe from the Torres newsletter and similar services any time, without hassles.
The user can browse most of the website without sharing any personal information.
Security & Sharing
The information gathered is stored in electronic form on a secure database or in the paper format, in secure premises, only as long as necessary and is prevented from unauthorized access. Sensitive information flow from the user to our web site is typically over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection.
Torres remains the sole owner of the information gathered. We do not sell, trade, rent or lease personal information to third parties. Information is shared with Torres business partners and re-sellers to provide information, product or services. Also, information may be used by service providers to Torres for business analytics. Under all circumstances, sensitive personal information is typically not shared and if such information is shared then the third party are required to maintain confidentiality and prohibited from using the information except for providing the intended service.
Torres will share personal information, without notice, if required by law or in good faith belief to:
